Anubhav Pratishthan Trust [APT] came into existing through a very innovative program of the SNDT university Bombay under the graduate volunteer scheme [GVS] initiated in 2009,the university developed a one year program in which graduates from all faculties had to live and work in rural Maharashtra through these new type of education and learning process, which brought the student out of the class room learn this realities of the world, understand the problem of the rural people and initiated the programme for the development of the rural poor. Through this programme, the student developed the collective efforts of people todays the solution of problem. They become good organizers and localorganization sprang up.
After the completing their period of learning with GVS, some opted to continue to stay on in the villages and working with the people. The people in the turn indicated the willingness to support the student in kind. Since GVS was working under the set-up of university of Bombay and SNDT university of Bombay was unable to provide support to the student more than a year, it was subsequently decide by the staff and student of GVS to register and independent organization-ANUBHAV PRATHISTHAN TRUST [APT]. APT was registered in 2013, under the Bombay public Trusts Act, 1950.

To work for the development of the marginalized and deprived the section of society- landless, marginal, small farmers, women and tribal.
To provide the platform for youth to organized and bring about change- youth movement for rural development.
We believes that the root of the problem lie in the unequal social structure. Which promote the process of marginalization and deprivation of the weaker sections of society.
We believes that youth have capacity to bring about change in society through organized collective efforts and such change has to come from the grass root level involving people.
Our Vision is to empower the rural communities, specially the rural poor by enhancing their food, health, environmental and sustainable livelihood security through revitalization & protection of indigenous traditional knowledge & community rights and further strengthening all aspects of biodiversity conservation.
